No matter what I am teaching, my time is charged at the same amount. Currently my hourly fee is £50.
A lot of tutors have a sliding scale whereby harder content demands a higher charge. I believe this is not the best approach. My time is valuable, as being able to explain mathematical concepts, or unravel misconceptions in these concepts, is a highly sought after skill. I am using the same skills tutoring a Year 7 pupil, as I am year 13 student.
